If you want to see the guts of one we are doing a rebuild thread of a VQ Macchi 205, but rebuilding it as a Macchi 200.

It is a 60 size, although it will probably get a 90 attached to the front.

RE: macchi 202 or 205 fighter
The Macchi 200 is a radial engined plane with a cigar shaped body. The Macchi 202/205 is an inline engined plane with sqareish more streamlined body.
I have been very pleased with the VQ Models planes. The Texan I had did so much air time that the oil finally penetrated the wing bolt seat area and the wing ripped off when flipping from inverted flight. This would have been the 4th major crash and rebuild so I decided to get a new one. You can tell the quality of the construction when you crash them and the VQ's seem to not use the cotton wood in place of balsa, which seems endemic to Chinese ARF's, so a crash does not shatter half the wing, or every former, as has happened with some brands. I ripped each wing off once, tip stalling on take off, replaced the plastic wing tips with balsa blocks, all for only a 20gm weight increase.
The VQ P-61 ARF (89") is now ready for ground trials and the ME109 is still waiting for retracts to arrive in the mail.
The only thing to watch for is the covering, its that printed self adhesive stuff which does not seal real well at the edges and the glue is not fuel proof. once you seal all the edges (I use clear auto lacquer) there is no problem.

As I said before, I like the VQ Macchi. Not true scale, but a fun plane to fly. At 100' away, it looks really scale. You could stuff a 60 2S in the front, but mine flies great with a .70 4S. I can agree with the covering, but I still give it an 8 out of 10.

I.M.P. used to make the Itallian fighter, but no more. They still sell the plan, but am confused as to if that plan is same one as in the kit or not.
It may be to scale, but plan is vague and parts flat do not fit tightly. Had to correct most of these items for the Repro offered by Bob Holman.
