question battery behind servos setup
Hello,
I need a picture or an idea of battery behind servos setup.
It’s a tight place, thinking to use Velcro around the battery pack, there are pushrod sleeve above the battery.
The plane is sig mid star.
Thanks
Alex

RE: question battery behind servos setup
Hey Alex, I don't know if this shows but I used eye-hooks that i bent to slip rubber bands around on my midstar. I'll look for other pictures, I have had to do this quite often.

RE: question battery behind servos setup
Hi Mark, I have had to use the hooks and RBs on A few planes and they work out very well. Just remember to change them out every now and then. Don't ask how I know that. I also use the velcro but I would have to go through A long photo file for photos, not sure there are any there anymore.
I also make up A small sub floor on the fuse so I can get fiber ties through and around the battery to hold it in, that way I can wrap it in foam. I may have some planes in the shop done that way if you need photos.

Grey Beard good to hear your out their. I know about the replacing of rubber anything on these. Alex-I remember the midstar was nose heavy. I had Dubro Isomounts and a 52 4 stroke on it. I moved the firewall back 3/4" and still had to have the Batt in the back, but it worked fine. What I did was put a peice of lite ply down from the control rod support, run the band around it and to a hook. Pix show this. Also side to side bands. Heres a shot of a 4*40 and the mid star motor mount.
