Are Pilot "Quick Built Series" kits difficult to build?
I'm talking about from their old line, 10-20 years ago, presumably before their factory burned down. I know they are dye-cut rather than laser-cut, but I've heard that the quality of the wood is very good. I've also heard that they are generally pretty true to scale. But are the kits difficult to build? I'm talking about something in the "20" size.
Also, in general, are they good flyers?

RE: Are Pilot "Quick Built Series" kits difficult to build?
I had a couple of these kits and found them easy to build with an excellent parts-fit. The wood is also very good and if built correctly, fly well. I have one now that I converted to electric years ago. One of these days, I'll put a proper outrunner on it and we'll see how it flies. The setup now is a belt drive and it wouldn't stay airborne. I always covered mine with transparent Monocote as it looked good in the "bones".

From what I remember, Pilot kits were usually machine cut, not die cut. And yes, their quality was outstanding. I built a .20 size Mustang years ago and it was not difficult to build. The instructions were (poorly) translated from japanese and were pretty vague. But the parts fit together perfectly and the plane came out very nice and light!
