Maiden flight happened yesterday afternoon. A few clicks of up elevator to trim it, and away she went. Flies awesome, and comes to a near standstill in the air with flaps. I haven't tried crow yet. Wind was gusty, so I'm hoping for a few more flights today. Thanks again for all the nice words, and for looking.

Thanks for the update about your maiden glad to here all when well. I can't wait to try mine with the flap setup, seemed like it would add a lot to the planes low speed performance, so I had to try it. Besides the flap elevator mixing that Red B spoke of seems like something interesting to try...

Unless hovering is your only interest I would stay away from the 12.25 x 3.75 APC prop. IMHO the SSE performes better with a propeller that has more pitch For everyday flying, using a .46 two stroke engine I have found that 11.5x6 or 12x5 APC propellers to be just about ideal.
Red B - thanks! Looks like will need an inventory at the field so that when I learn to fly it well I can start the prop evaluation program ...

You only know what you don't know when someone tells you that you don't know - I just confused myself ...

Randy I stumbled onto your thread, outstanding job! Seeing your SSE makes me want to build another, such a great flying plane in any form. I bet your mods make this baby sweet to fly, and bullet proof!

Mark, thanks buddy! You need to email me your new address so I can get you back on the club mailer. You also need to stop in sometime for some flying and beer. Or, flying, then beer, I mean.

Somegeek, no I don't have pictures, but it was very simple to just carve the foam and FG.
