Balsa and Foam
Hey guys,
I am building a Sig Komander, and I am bonding the foam core to the balsa sheeting. Will odorless CA do the job?
Thanks!

RE: Balsa and Foam
Foam safe ca may work but I would think that you would be better off with a much slower drying glue such as Titebond or alike. CA does not give you a lot of time to work and many builds I have seen they use either a water based contact cement or wood glue to do this.

Your two best choices for this are laminating epoxy or polyurethane glues such as Gorilla Glue or Elmer's Pro Bond. You need time to work when skinning wings and both of these give you that, as well as light weight (I think PU is lighter, but only marginally) and a very strong bond.
