Default Lanier Extra 3.25

I have a Lanier Extra 3.25 (the little one) in its box, but hopefully coming out in the next week or so. Anyone got any hints or tips for building this?

I already plan to use a servo on each aileron, and mini/micro servos rather than std.

I'm thinking of using the new Saito 40 for power.

Is there anything else I should know?

Thanks
Sprink

I used Hitec 225 and powered it with a Saito 30. This combination seemed to work very well.

Sprink,
I have not built one, but have collected a lot of RC forum comments on the design/kit. If you would want to review them send me your email address by emailing me, using the little button associated with this message. Otherwise, If you post your email in a reply for all to see, the spammers will flood you!

FalconWings10,

Basically I want to know if you any hints for building this. I have started reading the instructions, and got a surprise reading how the wing is put together - seems the wrong way round to me as you start with the sheeting and cap strips.

Did you follow this method? If so did it work ok?

Also, what AUW did yours come out at?

Bobby, I haven't used Hitec servos at all, will have a look at these. I did think of the Saito 30, and the new OS 30. Thought that the Saito 40 would be better, same weight but more power.

Gary, hope you received my email.

Thanks
Sprink

Sprink, I pretty much just followed the directions even though they were written poorly and difficult to understand. The reason for the way that Rich suggested this is because the wing will be very "twistable" until you get the front sheeting on. The caps help keep it straight and without twist. On this plane (I guess as well as others) it's the most critical part. Go slow. Take your time and build it absolutely straight. Try not the sand the airfoil down too much. It has a naturally thin wing and this makes the plane fast and prone to "snap". Keep the control surface throws to a minimum until you get use to the way that it flys. I used the servo setup EXACTLY the way that rich did and it turned out nicely.
