Sopwith PuP
I would like to hear from anyone who has built and flown the Balsa USA Sopwith PuP bi-plane. I am thinking about building one and powering it with an OS 52 4 stroke engine. I would be interested in hearing about any cheers or jeers.
Thanks

RE: Sopwith PuP
There is a build log of the plane somewhere in RCUNIVERSE land. Can't find the link now but do a search and it should appear.
I picked up their new 1/6th scale Nieuport at Toledo but haven't started it yet. I did see the PUP at Warbirds over Delaware last year and it looked real nice. The prototype used an OS 40 Four-Stroke and according to the guy manning the both it was way over powered. If you are going to use the OS 52 Four-stroke, I would suggest beefing up the front end a little also watch the CG.

I built their 1/4 scale version a number of years ago. It flew wonderfuly even with the extra weight of all the metal I put into it what with scale flying wires and scale turnbulkles, cowl etc.
