question about a kit I'm buying
Anybody have any knowledge about a "Gator" kit r/c Facination? It's a 120 size & I'm wondering if is a decent plane. I've got a GMS 120 just itching to power something. Any bad habits? How does it fly? Thanks Ed

RE: question about a kit I'm buying
If that's a Gator R/C Fascination, it is a fiberglass fuse, balsa/foam wing pattern plane. I believe it was an early 2M design. Your GMS 120 might be a bit light on power, depending on how overpowered you like your models. It should build to around 9.5-10lb with some care in wood selection.
If you want more info, hit up the guys in the main Pattern forum (not the Classic Pattern one), they should have a much more accurate account than mine.

RE: question about a kit I'm buying
Gator made the all wood fuselage version of the Fascination - PAC made the fiberglass fuse version. Both have balsa sheeted foam core wings. I have an OS140RX with pipe in mine. The GMS will not be enough. It is a great pattern plane, but not the latest and greatest. Probably designed in the early 1990's.
