If you are REALLY GOOD at glassing and painting light you can achieve a finish on the wings that weighs the same as iron on film if your very careful. However since the fuse on the Widebody has open areas you need to cover it in film.

The wings on all of the beautiful ZNline Pattern planes are Oracover (called Ultracote in the US). Film is just lighter and easier to achieve good results with. The trick is sanding and cleanliness while covering.

Actually the 60 size fuse is completely sheeted, no open webs. Thats why I thought it would be a good candidate for sheeting.

Didn't know that...I thought the Widebody was like CA's Extra with tons o' lightening holes.

You can certaingly glass it then but the issue is weight. I've seen light glass jobs but getting a good paint finish usually makes the whole shebang heavier than film.

Since the WB is a 3D capable F3A machine weight control should be the #1 thing on your mind while setting it up.
