The SE is a great model to build and there are plenty of threads here to browse.

One thing I would say - Build the two inner ply ribs and the wing tube as a separate process, before pinning it to the plans to build the rest of the wing. The tube is a very tight fit, and can be handled if you work each of the two ply ribs carefully on to it, but it's almost impossible to do that if the assembly is pinned to the plan already. Make sure everything is square while you do this.

I think there's a website that is exclusively dedicated to the SIG SE. Try a search in www.google.com using the key words 'SIG Somethin' Extra' and I'm sure you'll find a load of useful stuff.

One more thing - FWIW, I have yet to find a better plane to practice aerobatics with, as it seems not to have a single bad habit and you can turn it into a trainer by using lower rates especially on the ailerons to stop its breath taking roll rate!

MIke,
I just finished mine and am waiting to finished breaking in the engine before I fly it. The tail wheel in the kit is junk and will have to be replaced at some point if you use it. I replaced it with a Goldberg tail wheel bracket and I'm sure it will last forever, or until the model is "gone" The other item I changed in the structure was the rear canopy hold down. I don't know what I was thinking, but that little dowel broke loose just from running in the engine. I ended up gluing a light ply blade to the bottom of the hatch and cutting a slot in bulkhead F4 for the blade to slide into. I also replaced the plastic pushrods with solid rod in split elevevator fashion and pull-pull cables on the rudder. Other than that, I built it stock and I think it's going to be a fantastic flying model.

My avatar is my SE and there are a few other pictures of it both in the bones and finished in my gallary.
