Default Building Light & beefing up the tail ???

Tiger 60 kit is on the way.

My previous builds (20 years ago) all came out heavy. (or "sturdy" was what some other flyers called them)
I'd like to keep the Tiger light. exactly how do I do this? I'm guessing use less glue? Maybe I used to much epoxy???
I'm leaning towards titebond with CA and 30 min epoxy only where called for.

I've also read the Tiger has a "notoriously weak tail assembly". would this be where the rudder attaches to the fuselage? Why would this be any different on the Tiger than other similar planes? Also strengthening this area is where I probably use to much epoxy = weight..

Lots of time off around Xmass so I'm hopeing this build goes quick... Almost went with an ARF but I want to give building another shot.

I know it varies but what would be a reasonable build time for this plane?

(previous builds = 2 gentile Ladies, Segatta 600, Midwest Aerostar 25 and half a dozen small FF scale models)

Thanks for any Info..

I've never found the Tiger to be weak OR heavy.

Just build it as per the instructions. Go easy on the glue, and as with many Goldberg kits, the one thing to watch out for is: When gluing the rear fuse together, make sure that the rearmost area is square or the rudder/fin alignment will be off
