Your thoughts?? (gluing burned Laser cut wood)
What are your thoughts on the gluing of the burned edges of laser cut wood??
My first instinct would be to sand slightly.... BUT that defeats the advantage of the accurate laser cut. (CA's, yellow, and epoxy as the glues in question) Add your $.02 worth. ....lownslo..

lownslo:
I'll often give them a touch with sandpaper, but just to get rid of the lumps where the laser left a solid bit to hold the part. I wont sand the plain burned sections because I want the accuracy of the lased cut. Never a problem with gluing.
Bill.

Building a sig somethin extra, they implicitly state NOT to sand burn edges, I used all wood glue, and it seems as strong as anything I have ever done.
No clue with CA though, trying to avoid it.
Mill the semi-newb
