Is Sig Still Making Core-Bond?

Is Sig Still Making Core-Bond?
Just wanted to know if anyone knew where I can find some Sig Core-Bond? I have used this adhesive in the past with great results, but my LHS was no help and the Sig website doesn't list it. I'm hoping that it's not the latest in a long list of discontinued products from Sig []

Gee, I think they must have stopped selling it. They do have the 3 M 77 spray adhesive and they list sheeting foam cores as one use.
I liked the Sig Core-Bond also, I thought it was the best.

Tower still carries Dave Brown's Southern Sorghum. I don't know what the differences are. I am sure some of the others that have tried both can pipe in.

Sig still has it on the web site, but don't know if it's still made: [link=http://www.sigmfg.com/IndexText/SIGCB001.html]Core Bond[/link]
I hope so, since I used it around 10 years ago on a Sig Ninja and the sheeting is still holding perfectly.
EDIT: Maybe it's not listed as available right now because they can't ship in the cold weather??

I've tried the Dave Brown stuff. It comes in a distant second behind Core-bond. How on earth did you find core-bond? I just went back to the site and I can't find it anywhere.

If your LHS is currently out of stock. You maybe SOL unless Tower has a supply. Sig Mfg. site states they will not ship in this product in the winter. Freezing damages the product. I've used it on a Kougar. Looked great.

RE: Is Sig Still Making Core-Bond?
UPDATE:
Mike at Sig Mfg. got back to me the other day and they no longer sell Core-Bond or Kwik-Bond anymore. Their supplier for Core-Bond stopped making the product, and the EPA made them stop selling Kwik Bond, along with other hobby supplies that he didn't mention.
Mike put me in touch with Bob, one of their Design Engineers, and he told me that Core-Bond was a latex based contact adhesive and suggested that I look for something that was used to glue laminates to countertops. I did some research and found a few products that stated that they were latex based, but they seemed to be unsuitable for model use.
I did find a 3M product, which is a water-based contact adhesive that shows some promise. I will research its chemical properties further and post another update. I need to find out about its weight/ounce, and other properties so I can send the information to the engineer at Sig, for a comparision to the properties of Core-Bond.
I would also like to post a table listing all of the other products suggested in this forum, so everyone can see the facts and decide for themselves which product would be best for their particular application.

I did a search for Latex contact cement and the two prominent products that came back were:
Liquid Nails Contact Cement, Latex gel (CAP-95)
Roberts Latex contact cement 1030

Thanks!
I really appreciate your help. I didn't come across the Roberts 1030 contact adhesive before and the properties seem very similar to the Sig Core-Bond. I'm going to check into it further and add it to my list of contact adhesives for sheeting foam wings.

Manufacturers are required to provide a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for their products which list the compounds used and how to handle them. Most all can be downloaded from the manufacturers websites.

I would STRONGLY recommmend using ojne of the Polyurethane glues (such as Gorilla Glue)... Search these forums for articles and videos. IT is a very easy process that creates an EXCELLENT result. IMHO, much easier and better adhesion than ANY of the contact cements...
