A pretty straight forward build for the most part. I built the LA 62 and it flys really well. The only issue i had was the center section on the bottom wing was off center some so if I were to have built it that way it would have created some alignment issues down the road. I would check all the measurements on the plans before I started glueing. Probably just an issue with my plans but it doesn't hurt to check all the measurements first.
What are you going to use for power?

I might use an OS .91 surpass series 4 stroke.

The fine plane! I did such first plane in 1983. Now I have constructed it again is a nostalgia! At my model it is a lot of changes in relation to an original design. If it is interesting, I can make many photos.

It is the plane which perfectly flies!

Greetings from Austria!!

I've built three of these, powered the last two with Quadra's, on a 35cc and the other a 41cc. Wing incidence is important on these. You want the upper wing at about 1.5 degrees less angle of attack than the lower wing. All mine required about 3 degrees right thrust and 3 to 5 degrees down thrust. Lower wing and stab at zero, upper wing -1.5 and proper engine thrust determined by experiment as each plane was just a bit different. All were excellent flyers. I don't think Chuck Cunningham ever put out a bad design.

Beautiful model Albert!
What engine are you using and what is the model's weight?

I use the motor of 20 sm3 SY. Weight of model 3850 gramme. For normal flight of this motor quite suffices. I think, that I will put the new motor 20см3 gasoline ZG-20. Now this plane will be used by my son, to which 9 years. . He already very well is able to operate planes of the daddy....

I have cleaned from this model absolutely all connections on rubber. Has replaced with plastic bolts. A tail part too it is possible to remove and very quickly to mount into place.

In the program of my firm manufacture of the similar plane for the motor 20-40см3 this year. It is very successful design. At designing of the new plane I used this model as the sample. The new model too will be made only of a tree will be on sale as a building set and in other versions. I consider, that such models and designs should not die!!

I at the first flights had a motor 20см3 SY. For this plane in weight hardly more 5кg. It quite sufficed, after all not for 3D it is designed! Now it has been decided to put on it the motor again 20см3, but petrol ZG 20. No sooner said than done!

The model began to behave much better, than with the previous motor. The increased diameter of the screw with small step, only was improved and without that by fine flight qualities of the plane. I do not regret about the done conversion. It of that cost!
