Default Canards Out There?

Are there any canard designs out here for 40-90 sized engines?

Check out Dawn Aviation, he has a couple smaller canards but look like they'd be a blast to fly.

Or the Model Aviation Sweepee as you see in the picture to the left. I fly mine with a TT Pro 46 and love it. I've been using it at our club fun flys. Lots of fun! Go to the AMA web site in the plans section. 1989, it's plan #626 (August).

If you want more info and/or decide to build one and have any questions feel free to drop me a note.

Tim

Hey Mark

AMA plan service also has these canard plans but unfortunity do not post clear pictures on it's site. Most are for 40 size engines.

Firebolt plan #444
Airmaster plan #694
Kanardeze plan #782
Q.E.D. plan #802
Ascender plan #856
Zonker plan #177

RCM plans has the Dragon plan #762.

Yeh, canards look great!

Look at fusco. They have a quickie and a Long EZ. Both are good.

Default St. Croix plans?

I am also interested in some Canard plans. Fusco has some great ARF's available, but I'm more interested in a kit without foam core or fiberglass covering. Ideal situation would be ribs/spars with monokote.

I know it probly won't be as purty as the Fusco designs, but that is not my goal.

St. Croix had a kit several years back, anyone have a set of plans left over from one of those kits? Even if the kits were foam-core/fiberglass, the scale outlines and other information would be very helpful with the creation of some new plans.

Thanks!

If you find a set of plans for the canard stick I would also be interested in having a set.

Flyboy, if I find something I will let you know. I spent the majority of the day yesterday scouring the net looking for information. I didn't find anything good, but ran into a couple of leads. I'll keep all of you posted as new information rolls in.

Maybe we could pool our resources and come up with a workable set of plans?

Got to the kits for sale listing. There is a Sig Tri-star listed. Would be great with a .15. It's a good kit and great flyer.

I got a hold of fusco. He is selling the plans and the gear for $59. Not a bad deal. The gear are usually about $30, so $29 for the plans is good. I will get a set from him shortly.

Great news Flyboy!

Thanks for putting in the legwork to contact Fusco.

I'm assuming that those plans are for either of the Long-Ez kits, the 1/5 and the 1/3?

Nice to know they are willing to sell individual parts also, that will help for all the failed attempts I have on the canopy, cowling, gear and such.... That is of course, when they have enough spares to accomodate the demand.

Default Canards Out There?

I am currently building a St Croix 1/5 Scale LongEZ (from the kit) and I assume these are the plans Fusco are selling.

It uses a foam core wing (about 6 individual pieces of foam) and is covered in glass. My wing is build but not glassed yet. Fuse is part way built.

I am putting a TT46 Pro in it, with retractable nose gear. I have used the retract recommended in the plan (goldberg) but it is no where near scale. Might add a scale nose leg latter.
