Got too many, . . . but having a hard time admitting it. What with the Bauer 1\4 Skybolt to a S2 1\4 Brown Miss Los Angles, the BUSA "Rumpler" Taube to the Midwest 300XS, the DynaFlite Spitfire to the Jack Staffford Ercoupe.

Well, you knowwhat I mean . . . . got "plans" for each and every other kit I own.

I am very lucky that my wife understands my hobby infatuation. I don't ask her about the cloths and jewelry she buys and she does not bother me about my planes. Right now I have
Nieuport 17
1903 Wright Flyer
Quadraselle
Jack Stafford B-24 Liberator
Zepplin Landau
A paddle wheel boat
These are all kits to build and I have already built;
an f-86 Sabre
FMS Spitfire
Sportster

In my stash I have....6 kits in a box, 6 ARF's in a box, 2 partially completed kits, 2 kits for restoration, and a 1/7th scale L-4 Cub kit just completed today. If i just finished one, that means i need to go buy two more! Right? The now completed L-4 Cub makes 40 ready to fly planes in my hanger. We are a "sick" bunch........can't wait for the Perry swap meet!

Yeah I found this method works the best. Besides she does not seem to mind so much when I buy engines on the ebay, rebuild them and sell them and I make a little profit. She likes it then. Thanks for the response. Bob

I sold a Messerschmidt Bf-108 Taifun ARF a few months ago. It was made by VQ, although not a kit.

I just placed an order through traplet.. good service on the plans. got them quickly, they had a hiccup with their cc system and for the "inconvenience" of having to find a way to pay again ( paypal ) and shipping the plans a day later than I ordered, they included a few free magazines...

That depends on the plane.... I know of some planes they have significant plastic work for.. it doesn't appear that the BF-18 has anything more than a cowl currently though.

I am very much more conservative on my model count. I have no problems moving out my old planes and kits to the market so I can upgrade to new ones. Some of you guys are RC hoarders and bragging about it? Unbelievable. Your wife's must be totally irritated with your obsessional behavior. Take your wife to a nice restaurant and movie instead of buying new planes and then buy them flowers instead so they don't complain. LOL. And please pass on your unbuilt planes to people like me, recover some cost and then travel the world, fix up your house, and clean your house of all your airplanes. What if you have a fire with all those Lipos have sitting around. Sorry to be so cynical, but one of my friends house burned down and he had close to 200 planes. Not sure how the fire was caused. BUT...

I have about 10 flight worthy models right now. Over 15 models are too much for me. I sell or trade after this. Besides, to me, it's all about more flying vs building.

My current stash:
2 balsa build kits on the shelf, 120 Seamaster and an old amphibian plane
1 Great planes 85" P-47 Kit almost complete

Current build
1 eFlight Ultimate 3D

Just finished:
Great planes .40 RV-4 (maiden flight just today)

On order:
20CC Corsair from Tower Hobbies.

Selling:
Nitro planes Yak-54 30%

Also on order a RadioMaster transmitter. Current TX is a DX8. I am becoming a hoarder myself with transmitters. I have 3 old JR transmitters and 7 JR receivers. I may have to put them into a recycle bin as they are completely obsolete and worthless. Not even worth putting on the market. Does this make you sick or what!

Clearly you don't understand the pleasure of possession.
Collecting is not "Hoarding".
Myself? I had a "Thing" for Carl Goldberg models. There was just something about the Falcon series that spoke to me when I was young and never could afford to buy one. After collecting every version of the Falcon series and the Skylark series, I now just don't have the free time I need to build or fly anything, so have sold them all.
All I have left now are a partial kit (missing undercarriage legs) of a Senior Falcon, a Mick Reeves FW190D kit from 1983, a completed Galaxy Models Mystic and a Seagull Edge 540 that I haven't got round to selling.
The Mystic was started in 1986 and finished in 2006!

Galaxy Models Mystic. Laser 90 engine, replaced later with OS FS II 91P 72" wingspan

Seagull Models SEA26 Edge 540. OS AX120 power. Perry pump.

I bought 3 Top Flite kits as a package deal a month ago, all were are my list of airplanes I want to build. I have reached the point I probably won't buy any more kits with possibly a few exceptions. I won't say 'never again" because that hasn't worked in the past. I started with a list of aircraft I wanted to build and have only a couple left I am thinking of skipping because they are either too rare to find or if I do find them cost prohibitive. Several others have dropped off because they don't fit the style of flying prefer. If I can ever retire I will accelerate my building but for now I am working on big ticket items needed to complete projects like retracts, fiberglass parts such as cowlings. I'm good on engines for now I have enough for 3 or 4 projects I have in the wings. On radio components I will need to wait until the builds are under way to choose those parts best fitting the project at hand.
