Let's play, "What is it?" 77 inch WS
I needed a trainer for a student. This past weekend I purchased a large plane that appears to be a Telemaster. As I am preparing it to be recovered I realized the dimensions and build do not match a Telemaster. It has a 77 inch wingspan. The length will be about 54 inches after I add the new rudder.
Anyone recognise this?
Thanks!
Bob

I don't know what it is, but the airfoil on the horziontal stab sould be a clue. The construction looks like a plan built plane vs a Kit.

I don't think it's a Telemaster...
The wing ribs have cap strips. And the fuselage has sheeting top and bottom. As far as I know, the telemaster has neither of these.

My fist thought was telemaster also. If it is a telemaster, it has to be a smash kit. The built up, sheeted fuse is way stronger than any Telemaster I have seen. The only wing I can find of that length is a Kadet Senior kit. But this wing is way different. Also, it is set up for flaps.
I originally purchased it for a OS 46FX or ST 51. Now I have a concern about whether those will be sufficient to power this thing. All my 60 engines are Rossi. It just seems wierd to put a Rossi on a trainer! [&:]

Telemaster. Wing is sheeted and ribs are capped same as my 40 [only difference is span 77" vs 72"]. Also stab is a dead ringer even to the wing tips. Fuse is a little different maybe a senior telemaster?

The fuse is not that of a Senior Telemaster.
When I first looked at it, I thought PT-40.
Heck, the plane could be a cobble up... Bits and pieces from different planes thrown together.
I looked at RCM's plan website.. And also RCstore and between them, there's at least 10 high-wing trainer type airplanes.
You may never find out what that plane is...

Thanks for the input! I really wasn't sure what it was. I was hoping to fly it with a .46 or .51 with a 12.75 X 3.75 prop. However, To be safe, I will pull a 61 off of another aircraft. The airframe alone is already around 4 pounds. I am figuring around 9 pounds ready to fly.
I want to run a big flat pitch prop too!

RE: Let's play,
Telemaster 2000. They were an ARC kit available from Hobby Lobby for a short time in the early 90's. The one I helped a guy fly, flew with an Enya 46 4-C. Flew real well.
