It was a squirrel on the ground, but once you got it in the air it was a blast.

Here's a pic of mine. Never really had the chance to ring it out before I needed the engine and radio for another project, but it was very snappy in the air. Not for the faint of heart!

that looks a well built and covered model. yeah i hear there snappy and keep you on the toes and thats just what i like. i supose its alittle like the geebee you need to keep the speed up and small movements and be gental and not force the sticks.
so how come youve stripped it. if that was me id be out every chance i got with it but then i just love challanges

The other reason I removed the engine and radio other than another project was I havent seen another until your post, and wanted to keep it like new since it is an old kit and not too common. But hey, This IS r/c universe...I bought the kit at a local r/c flea market for 20.00 about 15 years ago.

I have a 10-15 sized one. Have not flown it much. To nice to look at hanging from the ceiling.

I was told it was a total squirrel on crack on the ground. Mine was not to bad. Get it rolling to about 1/3 throttle, hammer the gas pull elevator. Foo the ground and a sweet plane in the air. Flies just like a Pitts. Imagine that. .

I am looking for a new .15 for it. I am going to replace to older micro servos and put some new ones in. I was thinking of a set of HS-82 or some 94091 micros for it. I have the SUPER cheap Cirrus servo and they are not doing to well.

May get a pic this weekend.

Mine flew great on a 15. The 28 might be to much weight and power. The main gear is not that robust. Not sure the fuse and wings could handle hard 3D type of flying. I would hate to see it come a prat in the air.

well i wouldnt fly it hard at all. though id do aerobatics on half throttle. i just like to know theres extra power in an emergancy. the undercarrige will be modified when it comes as i have heard storys bout it being a weak spot.

OK I flew mine around at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and only needed 100% for verticals. Mine would climb at about 80 degrees or so all day. Some times less is more. This is one plane I think does not need to be over powered. I would like to find one of the older RJL high power 15's. I think that was the one. It blew doors on the OS, Magnum engines. It was the same size and almost twice the power.
