Building an L4 Grasshopper
Hi all,
Here is the start of my L4 Grasshopper.(actually a Great Planes 40 size J3 Cub) which I am doing in the colours of the Grasshopper. I will post pictures of my progress as I complete it. Comments and/or constructive critisism welcome.

RE: Building an L4 Grasshopper
Thanks David. Its my first kit build so I'm very open to comments/suggestions. I will continue adding pics as I progress. I currently hve my left wing jigged up in my workshop. Hopefully, the next pics will be of the assembled wing.

As you probably already know, building a kit is not as intimidating as some think. Patience, patience and more patience! That'll just about cover the worst of it. Looks like you've pretty well got that figured out though. I don't know ALL the tricks either but happy to advise if needed.

RE: Building an L4 Grasshopper
Does anyone know if the l4 grasshopper carries any arnaments onboard besides the pilots and copilots pistols? I have seen pics of some r/c models that have actually have guns out on the wing struts. Please advise!

I can't tell you where to look for documentation, but I'm about 98% sure that some carried rockets mounted under the wing for marking targets for other aircraft to strike. Don't remember seeing small arms mounted. Doesn't mean it never happened. Americans are pretty inventive!
