Du Bro hinges and servo sugestions.
Hello all !
I am in the finishing stages of my Busa 1/4 scale sopwith pup,the kit came with Du Bro nylon hinges. I have never used these before and would like to hear your thoughts on them and if I do use them, how are they attached?
Also what would you say are the sugested servos for the plane , baring in mind money is really tight these days.

Dubro pinned hinges are good. u need to epoxy them in and be sure to sand the glueing surface of the hinge with 30 grit paper to really get the glue to grab. With the servos if u are running gas be sure to use metal gear. I'm sure 645 would be adequate.

ALO111, I have used these many times and they work great. One thing more. Be sure to pin these also. It is just one more step to insure everything holds together on the big birds. I use bamboo skewers for my pins. They take CA great and will not snap like a typical toothpick will. I have seen too many arfs and larger models lost because of hinge failure. It only takes a few minutes but could save your pride and joy. Just use a pair of nail clippers to cut them flush.....SB46

I was thinking about starting one of those myself next year, so keep posting those questions! I need the answers. (Did you post a build thread?)
