Sig Seniorita
I have been building this kit for awhile now, thought it was time to get it done . The only changes I made to the kit , was to use electric converssion , and make a bolt on wing , and Aleirons . I have a Sig Senior , just hated to always rubber band the Wing on . I will be useing a Rim-Fire 42mm outrunner motor . Castle Creation ESC . Just haven't nailed down the battery size yet .
Building kits are alot of work , But are a great way to relax and just build . And the outcome of the build, out ways the time that was put into it .

Great job.
I've got one that was handed down to me and it was really bashed. I put it back together as best I could and I''ll tell you, it is a great flying plane. My bigest problem was stearing on the ground, I was used to flying a tail drager and pulling full up elevator to get some tail wheel athority. Didn't work with the nose wheel . In the air, it was fun to fly, still is, but it's been a while since I had it to the field.
Again, great job and really nice covering you did.

Thanks Campgems
I have the Senior with a OS70 4-stroke . I still run the nose wheel on mine and don't have a problem . It's a blast to fly , I run a 16 0z. tank . And can fly for about 35 + minutes .

RE: Sig Seniorita
what does all that fuel do to your CG from the time you start out to the , might i say"BAD*** job on the 35+ minutes" end of the flight? are you having to trim it out much? i've always thought of doing that or trying to run 2 tanks with a little pump. i haven't ventured over a couple oz. difference from what's supposed to be in the plane. extremely nice paint job, by the way.

Crashbandicoute Thanks, With the size of fuel tank it does fly alittle nose heavy . But nothing that is not manageble . With the flat bottom wing You throttle up , it climbs . In a little wind this style of wing like to float .

RE: Sig Seniorita
I used Ultracoat on the Seniorita , and Monocoat on the senior . I found the Ultracoat alot easy to work with than the Mono coat . It formed around corners better, the cowl on the Seniorita came out alot better than the Senior .

hey, i'm just on the other side of the dirt mound from you. we do training over there on your sidequite often... i like the ultracote better also. i like the lower temperatures it takes. my LHS primarily sales monokote though. i wish ultracote made more colors than the one or two that i have seen anywhere.

I brought the digital scale from work to check the weight . with a 3s 2350 mah the weight was 4 lbs. 6 oz. And was still tail heavy , so looks like have to check with a 3300 mah - 3800 mah 3s , or 4s lipo . So with the bigger Bat. should balance out , or be really close .

Nice Kadet! I learned to fly RC with a taildraggin' Senior I built in '07. 1st build, 1st flight, no problem with this plane. Mine is powered by an OS40LA. Many said it wasn't enough power, and I have to admit that it's no hotrod but it gets around just fine just sipping the fuel. With a 12oz tank, it once flew at mostly low throttle settings for 53 minutes before gliding in to an uneventful landing. This design can tolerate a wide CG range. I often just sit in a lawn chair while shooting low level touch-n-go patterns at 1/4 throttle. Very relaxing. I've moved on to more challenging planes to build and fly but still take the Senior out for a spin once in a while just to enjoy it's simplicity. It has also been used as a drop plane for my RC skydiver. I hope to keep it in my hangar for a long time.

You have gotta nice Looking Kadet yourself Tee Bee, I built mine in '07 also. I have never flown mine till I ran out of fuel . After about 25 min. I have to bring her down . And still have over half a tank of fuel left . I usually fly mine at half , or less throttle . Just a nice relaxing bird just to fly and have a good flight . I also got more agressive planes , and Heli to fly . just nice to fly and not worry about what going on around You .
