Building my first kit this winter, a sig Mid star! I plan on using an Evolution 60nx for power, and I plan on adding a cowl and bigger control surfaces, thought about adding flaps and trying to make a STOL plane out of it...

This plane is soooo much fun with a 60 on it!! This was my second plane. Completely unlimited with a st G61 on it!!

I have a couple kits ready to go, but I think it will probably be the Sig Citabria. I have been wanting to build this kit for a while, this Winter just might be the right time to start.

The impeller blades on the wind turbines are largely balsa. Our beloved wood is in its most heavy demand outside our hobby. You can look up construction methods many places and there is a move to use only composite materials - but most farms our company has been involved with (and there are a LOT) still use balsa as a framing material which is then covered in fiberglass, plastics, etc.
