Default aerotech JU87 stuka

I have an old Aerotech (english kit) of a Stuka thats about 1/3 done and so I'm looking to finish. It has lost a lot of its obeche from the foam peices that make up the shapes of the plane. What I was planning on was to use some lightweight spackle to fill the holes, sand to shape and cover it using the pva/ brown paper method. Only the main hitch is I've never done this before. Would I be out of place to ask for all the advise you guys can offer? The shape of the aircraft is made by the foam peices glued to a central box structure and I've basically lost all the wood panelling from the wing and the fuse.
I would like to finish this plane ( I am into all german ww2 aircraft).

if the vanear is peeling then it may be better to strip all the vanear off and skin it with balsa. i have to do this with a wing thats at least 15 years old. its on a precedent hiboy. but yeah following a complete overhaul the wing vanear is starting to peel and to me if its starting to peel the stresses of flight will help it peel and cause weekspots on the wing. but yeah some pics would help

I'll try to put up some pics, got to take them first. virtually all of the veneer has gone on the fuse and the wing. getting good balsa could be the hard part for me though, no local hobby store.

I would strip it all off. You could still gluue the foam pieces in, fill , glass and paint. Checkout www.wowhobbies .com , they have this covering material that works great on foam. There is a guy here on RCu building a wow b25 and he covered it using this product. Check it outand post those pics
