Hi Guys,Trailing edge on wing half 1 is on,Puting servos out where bellcrank went.Drill holes in ribs for sevo ext to pass,Will beef it up a little in servo bay.Top wing has some diehedral built in,make a gauge to set root ribs.
Wing half #2 under way, ribs glued in and sheeting, spars installed. Both wing halfs make a long top wing 70",bottom wing will be 62 1/2".Well trailing edge is on wing half #2,mounting plates, and front sheeting is done.Need to put holes for servo ext to pass thru next to mount plate. Then finish sheeting top of wing, sand ends flush and install wing tips,Ok let's git r done!!! Thanks Les ps PINK FLOYD is jamming so time to sand.

Hi Guys,Got the 1st half of bottom about done,Trying something new on this build. The assembly manual wants you to spray adhesive on wax paper, then stick spars and sheeting down, no pin holes, works really good as long as you have lots of lead to hold flat.
Glue in ribs and top spars, was missing 2 small top spars 1/8x3/16 cut some out of pine, fit good, now I can finsh sheeting. These wings build fast, still have alot to do on them, wing tips, servo mounts, lots of sanding. This is going to be a cool old bipe!!!Well the last wing half is dry fit now, time to glue.More pics. Hey Guys,This stuff took some xtra time.Wing tips are done, wing tips are 1/8" ply, after gussets I put a 1/4" band of balsa around edge top and bottom.Did them thing on my Sig Hog bipe, makes the tips a little thicker, easer to cover to.Boxed in new servo bays, cut some 1/8" ply servo covers got them all fit,put 1/4"sq hardwood around bay to screw covers to.A little more custom work to do then back to the manual.Bottom wing has more diehedral than the top,so some N struts will be fun to fab.Well back to work. Les

Check out the BUSA Pheaton bipes. They should fly really well. I am currently starting a 96" Lazy Ace bipe. It is a scratch build though. It is supposed top fly very well.

I have a bipe on my watch list on ebay.  It probably will go over my limit be a guy can hope cant  he?

So Cherry, I have done alot of soldering over the years.  To solder cabane wiring you will need a very hot iron.  I recently bought a mini propane torch from Lowes.  I used it to heat a nose gear wire so I could bend it.  It gets plenty hot.  And fast.  An electric iron will work but I liked the propane torch alot better.  Instant heat exactly where I need it.  You also need to use silver solder.  It can still have a percentage of lead, but the less lead the better.  It obviously costs more but it is worth it.
