Cessna 195
I'm considering building a Cessna 195 using Hostetler plans ( http://www.hostetlersplans.com/cessna195.html ). Does anyone have any experience with this plane? I'm thinking of using a Quadrs 40 for power. I have limited building experience and am hoping someone can give me an idea of how difficult this kit is. TIA...

I don't have experience with the 195 but have built other Hostetler plans/planes. This one IMHO would not be for a first time builder. Find a fully kitted plane to start with and get some building experience under your belt.

RE: Cessna 195
Thanks for the reply. While I'm not a first time builder, I am close to it. I have finished and flown a Tiger 60 (which flew great till I lost it). I have done a wide variety of repairs on various ARFS in the past 6 years of flying. There are also a few experienced builders in the area that I could ask for help or advice if needed.

There's a more complete 195 thread, here. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1005782
The Hostetler plans are good, but must be studied carefully. The wings frame up easily. The fuselage takes a little more work.
I consider it to be a good design, and I'm enjoying the build immensely.

Thanks for the link. Good timing on your post- I had just finished reading about your build on the RCScalebuilder site. Awesome work on your 195.
