i was going to say that while great planes sells the plans, I kinda doubt they have all the templates for the formers and ribs on them (don't need that when supplied with a kit).
However, the ones at Outerzone have it all, thanks Bax!

There is some similarity I suppose, but not really the same thing at all IMO. The US1000 has a longer tail moment, it appears, and is a low wing. As well, it has Man Gear mounted to the wing (preferably as a retractable gear).

I have the smaller Escapade MX, and love it! It flies more like a pattern plane than most other mid wing designs.
I would by the Escapade 30cc in a heart beat if I had the cash. However, it is no Ultra Sport.

Nice Pics Kap2011, I am going to try to get my daughter to come out to our field to take some pics of my Ultra. She is also as talented as your photographer, very nice!

Most times it happens when I get to the field and put the plane together and power it up for the first time of the day. The retracts cycle multiple times and I have to flip the switch several time before they synchronize and react to the switch position. After that they work fine the rest of the day. It only happens after the wing has been taken off and put back on again. I have worked with a couple of sets of the newer retracts and they have worked flawlessly. This set has done this since they were new.

Thank You Calvinman, I was hoping to get feedback. I haven't built one in thirty years. This kit was bought way back then and has been on the shelf all this time.
Pretty excited to take it out for it's first run when the weather is better and engine break in is done. It wont be me doing the flying though, I'll get some help from
someone at the field for that. I tried in the past a few times but I guess I'm better at building than flying.

Well after about 15-20 yrs, I am getting another Ultrasport. This time I am picking up a US 60 kit from someone for $125. Going to go with a Satio 100, spring air retracts and considering the flaps mod. Is there any tips anyone can give me on this mod, anyone fly this plane with a 100? Thanks,
Carl

just use the two aileron torque rods to move the flaps through a Y rod. Mount your servo to one side of rib one so the Y rod pushes straight. I will post a pic or two in the morning.

I'm running a Saito 1.00 in mine with an APC 13.5X9 and all the Minnflyer mods. I've added a link to Minnflyers thread where he does all the mods w/photos.
