Default Great Planes P-51D Kit

Hello everyone,

Has anyone built the Great Planes P-15D Mustang Kit, 40size ?
If so did you find any dramas with the kit or the flying qualities ?

Thanks

I built the plane about 20 years ago and it is still flyable. It is a straight forward build and flies like a a GP Ultra Sport 40.

I built the GP Corsair as a second build and found no part difficult. I would imagine the instructions for the Mustang are just as clear, lots of pictures, and well written instructions. Both of these models fly very well. I stuck a Saito .82 in my Corsair.

You can't go wrong with it. I still fly one and just got the kit so I can build another. Good Luck, Dave

Im building one right now... i have got the wings almost made, instructions are very straight forward. Im using retracts for it and following instructions to the letter. Im stil not the best at the sheeting side of the building, so i found this "Shelly's Wood Filler", just ad that to those annoting little gaps and sand smooth, and you can not tell the diffrence. Will post pictures later in week if you'd like.
