The only thing that is bothering me is that the seller is on the other side of the country!
I hope that Canada postal service will be careful!
Looks like one of the newer kits, laser cut, plotted plans and simple box decoration...
...NICE!
My kit is an old one, with die cut parts and blue-line plans... ...with a strong nostalgic feeling in the manual!!!

Looks like I got it! Awesome, add me to this brotherhood thing please, I have 2 of these planes now. 1 built, 1 in the mail.
I was so close to buying the great planes kit too seeing as it seems to be the only one left. The thing that kept stopping me was everytime I looked at it I couldn't help thinking that front deck was just wrong. Way too square in the nose.

I had a GP Ultimate with a Saito72. Very nice flyer, but you're right - the front deck was just wrong.

I don't doubt it is a great flyer.. the wing and control surfaces look correct on the plane and the scale proportions for the main control surfaces looked correct.... with the ABS cowel and plastic canopy it didn't look like from pics that it would be easy to modify into a more scale appearance. I do like .40 sized planes b/c they are easy to toss in a car yet are still big enough that they can handle a bit of wind and tend to fly well. I may buy one yet. This kit first though... priorities!
As for the seller he had good ratings on here, and seemed pretty prompt with replies. As long as things turn out as advertised when I get the kit I'll have no complaints. :-) you're right they were a bit novel though :-) nothing wrong with that.

I bought mine at Truturn:
http://www.truturn.com/cgi-bin/store...exact_match=on
I ordered it with a special cut for the APC16-6. The 120 slot would have worked, but it seemed to big for that prop.
Saludos,
Jean Paul

Very Nice... very very nice...$51 for a spinner though... ouch... how does yours do with withstanding getting marked up by your starter? most of the spinnersI currently have have a ring worn into them from the number of starts they've been through. Don't really care if its a $10 spinner.. but for $50 I would hope it wouldn't be affected.

I got one of these
I looks great but I have not as yet used it.

I would have preferred a alu back plate instead of the carbon one as the carbon warps if you over tighten even a little.

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.
Don't need a set of plans. Bill and I have a new kit with the new plans still unbuilt in the box. That is where he made all the aluminum templates of the whole kit. Every piece is made of aluminum. He just lays the aluminum templates on the light ply and cuts out what ever he needs. It was just my kit with the original book and plans that he made everything from. He made the fuse with a hood and canopy that comes off like all the new kits so you don't have to take the wings off every time you need to get inside. If there is enough of interest in this, I can see if he wants to make some, but I don't know about patent infringements or any legal problems duplicating parts or the whole plane.
Anyone knows, let me know! I'll ask Bill if he is interested!

Bill started to make some templates to make a few backup planes after working on the restoration. He's been cutting out parts for the fuselage sides and tops along with some formers. He has been busy! He also made a nifty little dremel tool type router table to help make the lite ply sides!

Anyway, welcome to this great Brotherhood, as you can see everybody is kind of busy building or restoring our own Ultimates, it is a great idea to have a pdf back up for formers our fuse sides, have fun and tell us of you already have them.
