OK I asked if anyone wanted to buy a kit. Did not ask for opinions. This kit is all there and has alum landing gear. Yes it is started but it is the elevator. Want to see pictures if interested I can do that. We all know this kit is worth more than 150 with the extra gear. No one will pay asking price anymore they all want to barter so there you have it. I dont have time to build it I do have a motor but it is not included in the price.

I'm pretty sure the forum has a rule.. "if you post, expect to get an opinion back"
Complete, non started kits frequently sell for between $175 and $200. I've seen several people ask for more, and they might get it.. but they are available fairly frequently for $175 for $200 in unstarted condition.
If they have ben started, prices drop significantly.. I've seen "just the tail feather built" kits sell for as low as $120 in the past year. I think that might be a bit of an extreme though....

Is there any brothers who have put a gas motor into their ultimate? I have a ys 120 in mine and hate feeding it all that nitro fuel and the aggravation of getting it running right. Had it dead stick on me last night on final and got blown to the edge of the runway in a crosswind and into the beans. luckly it only ripped out the landing gear block. Seems to be a weak point that needs strengthing. Will probably add some tristock against the fuse sides. Anyway just wondering on what gas engine someone might have used and how it worked out.
thanks

I am installing a DLE 20 in one of mine this winter. I hear they have plenty of power but won't do 3D. I am not a 3D flyer so I went with the 20. It fits nicely and doesn't seem to need a lot of mods to fit in the cowl.

I will also take a number. My Ultimate is well on the way being built. I received it about 4 years ago 3/4 the way built. It has been neglected before I got it and a little after. I started working on it last week and plan on it getting finished sooner than later. This bird will be Electric. The motor has been mounted. It's a Turnigy 50-65 380KV. The battery is a 6s 5000mah. The prop will either be an APC 16X10 or 17X10 what ever I need to get the amount of thrust required for this bad boy to preform. The wings will have 4 servos, one for each aileron. A side hatch will be installed for easy access for the battery. I will post more pics as I continue to finish it.

Thanks, I have not got that far yet. Right now the motor is mounted. I was possibly thinking of a 17 inch prop due to the lower KV motor I am using. I know The diameter will be somewhere between a 15" to 17" prop. The diameter will also vary on the pitch of prop I use. At this point, I need to focus on completing this model. I am out of town until Sunday, I plan on getting a great deal done next week. I will continue to post pictures as I continue to finish this plane. I am looking forward to completing this Ultimate. I already have a covering scheme picked.
Have you heard anyone using flaps for the top or bottom wing? Has anyone have any issues with Aileron flutter, besides using one servo and bellcranks?
Thanks,
Tom
