put 6 to 8 oz on cg of plane, looping the vent means making a loop or two over the tank so if you raise the Tail of the plane the fuel does not run out of the vent, i think you get the hint. stopper in front of course, vent line loop from stopper to rear of tank and back to front, so no syphoning when tanks full and Tail is up, is not hard to understand

Default 3-Views

This is probably a long shot but I'll try anyway. I use my CG Ultimate for F4H scale competitions but always loose a lot of points on the static score partyl due to the 3-views. The 3-views I've found are a bit on the small side, and while I could just stretch them the resolution is not great. I was hoping someone was sitting on some better 3 views of the 10-300?

These are the 3-views I've used so far.

The Bob Godfey Ultimat would give you the better static score since it was designed to build the fullsize around its reserch for Gordon Price, they worked together to get that Puppy on the Paper and in the air, as far i read seen in its history, the 20-300 was only on the Plans, but never build for full size, go read up on it, quiet interesting story, and looking at original plans, the Goldberg is close, but not even close to scale with the Fuselage

My journey toward flying a CG Ultimate is accelerating toward its fruition.
My kit, bought in 1996 has slowly been completed, to the extent that I felt I needed some air time on the Black horse ultimate I bought 5 years ago and have yet to fly.. So I took the bh one to the field on tuesday, just to tryout the engine which hadn't run since 2008, saito 125 btw, started first flick of the electric chicken stick and throttled and idled beautifully, showing 9000 on a jxf 16x6 2 blade running 10% nitro.
One of my clubmates said he had one like it for sale for £50 (about $80) so I bought it on spec. It is a cg one, the build quality is first class and my YS 110 fz dropped straight in.
The guy that built it is also in our club and he said be careful, I think the cowl is painted with acrylic paint which the 20% nitro I have for the yz will strip off in short order (it was originally powered with a 15 cc (91) RCGF gasser which was disappointing from the power POV, I have a turnigy 26 cc gasser which pulls my dragon lady vertical oos so that's going in there tomorrow.
The base color is turquoise with white stripes and a couple of stars. As soon as I've figured out how to transfer pix from my phone I'll post some.
So I now have a black horse ultimate, which is virtually identical to the cg one, I also have a Golberg one and two spre uncovered wings, an uncovered fuse, and tail tailfeathers together with a couple of fibreglass cowls I bought last century!!! Perhaps I'll get to fly one next week.

Last number given by "alfredmor" was #115 to "Garbyray" on 22nd July 2013. That is 2 years ago now!:

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/kit-...erhood-52.html (post #1290)

Since "alfredmor" do not enter RC Universe from 19th February and Jon "maukaonyx" is first member here, I propose he continues giving numbers to those of us who would like to enter the brotherhood and if Alfred comes back, of course, he should take over the number asignation again.

Do you think it should be a good idea and continue giving life to this thread?.

Best Regards.

drac1, of course you can join the brother hood. But the person, alfredbmore, hasn't been active on this forum and he was in charge of assigning numbers. I hope all is well with him. if you read some previous threads we're trying to figure out how to continue on .....

Oh, OK thanks. From what's been posted above, it looks like I would probably be #116.

Thanks for the compliment of recommending that I take over assigning numbers for the Brotherhood, but I suggest that someone lots more active on this thread should take over, such as peternj. I think Alfred gave me #1 in the Brotherhood because at the time he started it, I might have had the oldest CG Ultimate. Anyway maybe peternj is willing to assume the duties? My humble suggestion is that whoever handles it should be someone really active that comes to this thread a lot. You can see I don't, this is my first time in a couple weeks, and many times I am away from the thread for months. Also, the new leader should go back a couple years to pick up assigning numbers from when Alfred stopped. Regards, Jon

I may help preparing an updated list of given numbers as well as those who, like me, are waiting to be accepted at the CG Ultimate brotherhood but I will need a few days for preparing this as last list only reached arround number #70.

In the other hand I support that "peternj", if he wishes, takes the duty of assigning numbers till Alfred shows back.

Best Regards,

Jesus Cardin

maukaonyx, I'm like you.... I may be active for a few weeks than stay away for a couple of months. I've been busy repairing my Ultimate from 23 yrs ago. I just couldn't toss it to the bin since the Fuse was intact and the wings held together (until I peeled back the monokote).

I'm wondering if anyone still has a PVC cowl that came with the kit and is willing to part with it? I know fiberglass specialties has them but I'm looking for the PVC version and a canopy... Please let me know.

As far as me assigning numbers to members... I would propose that we pin a post with the recent list and as new members want to join the brother hood they can update and grab the number, just a thought. I don't want anyone feel unwanted if I'm dormant for a few months is all.

Just went through memory lane re-reading the thread. It was four years ago that I built my spare Ultimate. I crashed mine recently but it wasn't a loss because the tree broke it's fall. Anyways, time flies by too fast. I wonder if I ever finish the kit list I have and the three spare ultimates in case i trash the one I'm repairing and the spare one. Guess I'm going through a mid life thing, but I just want to let everyone know that I enjoyed reading the thread again. Amazing. I also hope that alfredbmore is alright and too busy flying!

Best wishes to everyone in the brother hood. Stay safe, fly like you stole it, and happy landings!

As promised I have produced an updated brotherhood number list, in which I have found there are 7 "old" numbers free for use.

Also as thread founder does not enter RC Universe since February and other old members have difficulties taking the roll of asigning number to new brotherhood mates I suggest as follow to new entries (like me):

1.- Make a brief introduction of your interest to enter the Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.
2.- Copy and paste the last available Brotherhood member list.
3.- Take the next number available as your Brotherhood number (if "old" numbers are available, take one of these first).
4.- Write your RCUniverse name and Brotherhood number at the end of the list so it is last minute updated.
5.- If two members register at same time taking same numbers, that shown last on thread will correct and edit his text to the new number,

I will start the new proposed number asignation.

My name is Jesus Cardin and I am a R/C modeler from Spain. I own and fly regulary an ARTF Carl Goldber 10-300 Ultimate since the last 7 years; it was originally powered by an O.S. 120FS and recently switched for an O.S. 120AX 2-stroke for improved performance.

As I would like to enter this Brotherhood I take # 94 as first number available.

Best Regards.
