Ultimate Biplane kit value
If you can find them, they run about $250-440, depending on the condition. They rarely show up on eBay anymore. I saw a laser-cut version go for well over $400. Some are missing decals, and such. I’ve built so many of them that I can tell by the pics whether it’s complete or not. The one I just purchased went for $310 with shipping. The best way to snag one on eBay is to save a search for Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Biplane. You’ll get notified of new listings. Make sure you ask the seller lots of questions. If you want to see more pics, ask. That’s how I got this current kit. Hope this helps.

I've seen kits in pristine condition (perfect box, with undisturbed contents) basically in the same condition the day it was bought go for $325 plus shipping. But that was likely to a collector that wanted it REALLY bad. That's definitely high end. Most of them selling recently were between $175-$250. That may not help you much but should give you a starting point.

To a kit builder probably 150-200.
I saw people asking around 250, but it has to in great shape. Usually if the kit wasn't stored properly the would becomes warped and brittle. Especially the lite ply parts. It's your call but if you want to sell it here because you won't build it I wouldn't ask more than 200 plus shipping if the contents are in good condition.
Also which version is it, the pressed one or laser cut one. The laser cut one has poor fit on the fuselage parts.

That Said Vogelm1, I am one of those guys who has 3 die cut kits (one of which i gifted to a club member because he like the Ultimate plane) and 1 laser cut. I am finishing the air frame I documented in this forum in 2011. The one I had for 23 years was totaled. I became so comfortable flying it, I pushed it to hard during a low inverted fly by and misjudged the roll over to upright and buried it. Once I'm flying this one I will be building the next one.
I'm looking for a laser cutter to do a wing kit for a friend who needs new wings. But it looks like he'll be cutting them.

How easy or hard is it to replace/repair the wings where the struts, or whatever they are called that join the wings together, connect to? Surprisingly enough the wings remained intact other than shearing off those tabs when the plane went in. The fuse was fuel soaked, so most of it up to the cabanes was destroyed.

I think all these old discontinued kits are over priced, I guess if there are buyers for them at these prices the price will stay up there, I saw a Goldberg Chipmunk go for over 300.00 a while back, crazy, crazy.

Good to know what i can do with a blueprint/plan, maybe some pre cut parts, but 300 for an old kit ? knowing they suck with the ABS parts and wire landing gears and needed upgrades ?? that gets a little out of hand here, if you are a builder, you only need a plan and inspirations, and time to get it flying. Bu the time its in the air, no one will see a difference then

An Electric 10-300
Hey Zibobman! I have been giving electric some serious thought. I have a original Goldberg 10-300 kit that I picked up in 1998 and I just started building a couple of weeks back. I guess that having kids kinda got in the way. Anyway, what I was saying is that electric could be fun but the biggest problem is the cost of the batteries. I was told I would need a 10S battery if I really want to do 3D and they will set me back about $1000 each. Cant go to the field with one battery. The motor and esc are relatively inexpensive. I think at this point I would prefer to go Gas. Maybe a Evolution gx26? The weight has gotten to be bearable and there is something to be said about no dealing with nitro and glo plugs. I have some time before I need to commit.

CG ultimate build
Hey guys, I'm currently building a CG ultimate. Having lots of fun getting this dle 20 to fit. I ended up taking an inch off the front of the fuse so the spinner backplate will be in the proper location. This is the second time I'm building this plane. The first time was in 1993. Having a blast😎

Jescardin yes!! I'm freakin terrible. And the truth is I had just recently cleaned about about two days before. My rule is when I can no longer see the table top I put everything down and start a cleaning session.
