Its a bad quality movie, but its the only memory i got on my old ultimate I think I was about 15 back then so the video is like 18 years old. But it was a nice plane. I upgraderd the orginal ABS cowl and wheel pants to fiberglass ones.

I love the soundtrack in those videos.

It’s not the same with electric power.

Default Cg ultimate #120

I have a question , what should my thrust angles be on my engine ? I have about 1.5% down and maybe 2% right . Will this be enough with a super tigre G 90 ?

Hi.
I have 0 degrees down and 3 degrees right thrust.
Very close to perfect with OS electric motor turning 16x12 APC-E.
I don’t know if this will work for you, but do a test flight with what you’ve got and see.

The first RC plane I saw fly in the 1980's was a CG Ultimate 10-300 it had a OS max 1.20 it flew for about 20 minutes until the pilot got mixed up while inverted and pulled instead of pushed sent it right into the ground at full speed. I always saw the kit on the wall at Hobby Shack where I grew up I can remember wishing I would have one someday in the 1990's I flew RC helicopters for a few years but lost interest for the next 25 years didn't touch RC again until one day I saw a Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Kit like new in the box for sale on eBay. I bought that kit it has been sitting on my shelf for last 5 years even bought a YS 140DZ for it. That purchase started my interest in RC again I joined a local RC club and I have several other RC planes I have been flying. I have put off building the kit as just didn't have the time yet to devote to a kit build. This winter I'm going to do it and build the kit hopefully it turns out nice I will take my time.

Default Ultimate Blue sticker art

Hello everyone. I have an old Carl Goldberg Ultimate Bipe that I've been flying for years... now it needs a little refreshing and I would like to replace the old, worn out Ultimate Blue stickers (4) on the cowling and tail).

Would anybody know of a source of this type of thing? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Zip

Good idea!

I looked through their site quickly... don't see anything. I'll send 'em a message.

Thanks,

If you still have them, you could take pictures with dimensions, and they may be able to recreate them as well.

Hi.
I didn’t use the decals on my Ultimate. I don’t want to sell them, but I can scan them for you. Not sure if my scanner will get the colours right though.

Wow, that's an awful nice offer! I'll keep that in mind, but this kit has been around long enough that I'm sure somebody sould most certainly have the file already perfected!

I'll keep looking around for the moment, but I'll keep your offer in mind! Tnx!

I have plans and templates for the Ultimate kit k-53 with the 54 inch wing span. Does anyone know where I can find a cowl and canopy? Also, I am interested in joining this brotherhood. Thanks for any help.

It's a really nice plane, and if you stare at the cowl long enough it's grinnng at you... taunting you.... saying lets blow work off and go fly....
Lol , I love this ! This is why I am finishing mine now !

Default CG ultimate

Alright fellows another ultimate (Goldberg kit) is ready to earn her wings ! Now the only thing I need to know is what is the CG for this bird ? A friend of mine said an inch in front of the rear cabane and when I pick it up (right side up) it seems to be a little tail heavy . I put 2 aileron servos in her and mounted a 6 volt nihm receiver pack where the bell crank servo used to go in the bottom wing , thought I was being clever but I may have to reposition that , Lol . Also I do not have plans so I was wondering what the recommended throws were . A nib super tigre g 90 is in her with a Pitts style muffler , all high torque metal gear servos and pull-pull rudder . She is completely stock per plans , abs cowling and wheel pants and wire gear . I want her light and hopefully I can resist the temptation to tear the sky apart with her as that is what my Midwest super stinker is for ! 😁 Thanks fellows !

Wow , that is sharp ! Any more progress ?
