Default ultracote vs monocote

I've covered 9 airplanes since I've been in this hobby and have always used monocote my last project tower hobbies .40 uproar I decided to use ultracote from hanger nine and I don't think I will ever use monocote again , ultracote is so much easier to work with and looks great.

It's all in personal preference, eh? Ultracote is stretchier, and to my eye, less 'glossy' than Monokote. It's also a little heavier, I think. I liked it better myself. I also found out that the Ultrakote with the sticky backing is too touch for my use.......using that stuff made for a BAD night.....

Ditto

Although my last project was a combination of both, and that REALLY worked well. The one down side to UC (in my book) is that the edges can pull away when using a heat gun, but when the edges were being held in place by MK, they didn't move.
