New twin project; plans looking
So I find an old Magnum XL .40 in an old aerobatic that was crashed years ago and was unsure if I was able to rebuild it so I found an identicle engine online. Figured I could make one engine out of both. I was able to get the old 40 going so now I have 2 of them. I am in need of help finding plans for a new build that would be a good fit for two .40 size engines. I have been out of RC for a bit but have never stopped modeling. Now I see it so hard to find kits, so I am ready to scratch. Please throw me some ideas. Thanks |
I seen this kit at swap shop last month, not for me so I passed on it, here's the plans, free down load. This goes way back.

Check out Outerzone for plans for a Super Sportster twin conversion. It should do the job for you.

I have found my bird. . . It is a 57" span P-61 Black Widow. I was hoping to find one and it is recommended for twin .40s. Got ideas for the works, flaps, retracts, lights. . .I will be starting after the Thanksgiving holiday. I hope to document and get everyone's feedback. . .
Keep yer' nose up! Thanks. . . |

Necromancer. Not to try and change your plans. But I know a few twin flyers, and if those motors don't run similar rpm's it might not work well. Just thought I'd mention it in case one runs much weaker than the other. Some planes aren't as critical about that I believe . I hope you get it going and working..
