I just finished mine. For the top look in my gallery. It's yellow with a red nose and flames. The bottom is white with blue stripes on the wings.

Hi Spatz - This is the scheme I came up with for my 60. We were having our mall show last year, so I decided to use the mirror trick to show the difference in bottom and top.

If you like this picture you can see a few more at my website. This short cut is just the covering pictures from different angles, top and bottom. If your interested you can back up into the rest of the album's and look at the pics of the build as well. Hi Spatz - Thanks, I used MonoKote in the bright Yellow, but I dont' remember what the name of the red was. Then I just used the black pinstripes where I wanted. The Black on White checker board on the bottom LE of the wing are just some of those trip sheets you can buy.

Spatz,

My first build was a 4-Star 40, winter of 2000. It took me 9 months to build (I have a job and a family!!!) and then my instructor missed the fact that the aileron servo was switched, he took it off, tried to bank left, it went right, and he overcompensated and augered it into the tarmac. Anyways, it was not a good day, but a good lesson in our hobby as well as to ALWAYS maiden your own plane. It may be your only chance to ever fly her!!!

Thanks.
BTW what engine there is on it?
And I have a question. The 4Star 60 can be good as a second airplane, or it'll be better to me to take the 40 version?

The 4*60 is a very easy plane to fly, and land. It is an excellent 2nd plane. If I could figure out how to add an image, I'd post a pic of mine..

Imaflyer...
That's a shame about your plane. I'm glad you got a pic first. I always take lots of pics before the maiden flight.

Because of my heavy schedule (rancher), it took me 5 years to complete an Easy Sport. On the maiden I had to dead stick it through a 4 strand barbed wire fence. Got lucky, only one small piece of spar broke, but covering was well perforated. It's repaired, and a great flyer.

I liked the colors on your 4*. Some of the wilder schemes are cool, but I like it simple, like I would expect to see on a full sized plane. So yours gets my vote, may she rest in peace.

Hi All
Took only 3 weeks to finish, only working a couple of hours a day. Has a Irvine 40 APC prop, 10% Omega fuel, OS A3 plug.. Flies soooo good, that I'm thinking of building another one..LOL

Here is my 4*60. Fiberglass cowl and wheel pants from Stan's Fibertech, landing gear and canopy from Bruce Tharpe Engineering (courtesy of the Venture 60). Saito 0.91 under the hood, and Buzz Lightyear at the sticks....With Hitec 605 servos in the tail, she will knife-edge loop and snap roll like nothin' you've ever seen.

Dan...you've got a really, very nice looking plane! Not so sure about the checkerboard under the cockpit...but hey, it's your plane, right?

Well - It might not look like a Four Star 120 anymore, but that's what it started out as. Covering design is simple, but it also follows the full scale size color scheme. I will add a few more grapics to give it hopefully a unique look. Everything is scratch built on it that's been bashed. Saito 150 with a Graupner 3 blade 15x8 prop. It also has an operational bomb bay for simulated slurry drops on fires.

I kind of kit bashed it into looking like a semi-scale version of AirTractor's 802-F, which is there slurry bomber.
