    concept 30 parts

i have a concept 30 that i bought a fewmonths agohaving a hard time finding parts for, it looks to all be there except the rotor blades and it has a different canopy. Does anyone know where i can get parts? Also i may sell it if anyone has one and needs one for parts. Thanks

    RE: concept 30 parts

Getting parts is tough these days and getting a set of rotor blades that are 505mm long with 8mm roots is almost impossible.

I bought my SX in 1990 and flew it up to about 10 years ago when i had a battery failure which damaged it quite badly. I have spent the last few years gathering parts together to repair it one last time, simply because of the problem your having now.

You dont say if your an experienced heli flyer or not, i'm guessing you are as learning to fly using the concept is not going to work

I did a little rebuild here that may interest you - http://www.rcaircraftonline.co.uk/sh...ge-Restoration

Which concept do you have ?

I learned how to fly on one ages ago, it was a good helicopter in its day but as you know, don't break it.

As BH says, it really was a good helicopter in it's day. The DX was probably the sweetest hovering helicopter ever ! with only the multi thousand $ F3C machines out-doing it !!!

If it was me, i would keep it till you have mastered the basics then bring it out on those lazy summer evenings for some gentle relaxing flying.
Good luck on whatever you decide.

Those are one of the best heli's out there to learn on.. Parts are not hard to come by if ya know where to look.. I have over $30k in parts for the older Kyosho helicopters. As far as those 8mm blades.. Ya don't need them.. Change out the boom, and drive wire from an SR, or Nexus model, throw some Nexus grips on it, and the 12mm root / 530mm blades will give ya even more stability. . more parts than you will ever need www.tailwinz.com

Yup, more than acceptable, makes an awesome upgrade with lots of added stability.. Only thing ya need to know is you must use lock tight on the bolt that holds the grip to the head.. Tighten it down till ya feel the grip start to bind, then back off a 1/4 turn..
