Kyosho comparissons
Has anyone had any experience with the electric helis from Kyosho, especially the EP Concept SR-K? How does this rate against the Caliber 400 series and how do both compare to the TRex450XL?

RE: Kyosho comparissons
I couldn't get the Caliber 400 to fly right no matter how much tweeking i did. I have tried the T-rex, also with unhappy results. Both ended up on eBay! I guess I'm looking for a mini that flys like my 30 amd 60 size birds. Not saying that all are bad, as mine were the first versions, and the later ones have many upgrades.
The best mini/micro heli I have owned was the Zoom/Dolphin/Shogun 400. Flew amazingly well for such a little whirly And only has a basic 400 can motor and non HH gyro. If you go for one get the later models that have belt drive tails.
I now have an Ikarus Viper 70 with H8 Brushless motor and 70amp ESC. Bit overpowered, but will climb out inverted like a bloody rocket. And it flys faster circuits than my 60!

RE: Kyosho comparissons
Thanks for that info. With New Zealand being so far away from the rest of the world I have to be careful about what I buy based on spare parts backup. Trex is definitely supported, so are Kyosho, but wih all my research I was heading towards the Trex.
I've found a shop that sells Ikarus but not sure what their support is like. I've also heard the Mikado Logo10 is a very good option but not sure if anyone distributes them in NZ at all.
Best I make a decision a get on with it.
Cheers
