Default Training Gear

I'm new to the Heli world and I have just purchased a Kyosho Caliber 30 and a Caliber 5. Is there a training gear out there that will work well with both? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Also the OWB, is it in my best interest to upgrade it right off the bat?

A Caliber 30 AND a Caliber 5 ?

Any 30 size training gear will do for both. Some people have found a resonance issue with training gear. If it sets up an oscillation try shortening the training gear posts.

The OWB is fine in 99.9% of birds. Mine is one of the first caliber30's and I've never had a problem.

I ordered a Caliber 5 and found a deal I coudn't refuse on a Caliber 30 on Ebay, so I ended up with 2.. I will take that into consideration. Is there a better set of landing gear for the newbie Pilot instead of the training gear?

I would always suggest a decent set of training legs for newbs (And no more than -1 on the pitch). As well as a good simulator. I self trained myself on FMS then bought Reflex XTR sim. I'm now three years in and into 3D work with no major incidents

Are you in a club at all?

ps I know what you mean about the Caliber deals. As they are now discontinued, they are cheap as chips.
