New mCX-like Mini
 

It looks like some major competition for the Blade mCX...

Kyosho has announced the release of a new mini -

Doing E-Flite and others one better this appears to be about the same size as the mCX but without the coax blades - a straight single bladed helicopter with - so they say - all the trimmings...

According to the website, the price is $179 - or about $80 above the mCX. Stiff, but as the saying always goes, "this is not a toy".

I was about to head down to the LHS when I spotted this one, and am now holding off until the Kyosho surfaces. We are now past late November but these things always get delaye4d a bit...

I think we all need to keep in mind that while kyosho is a very good company, the companies that are pioneering these small micro helis are the walkeras and gauis of the world. walkera has a truly stupendous line of micro helis, both coaxial and single rotor. this looks like a walkera 4#3B without the metal head and 70% more.

Would be an interesting comparison to see.

I have been a long time fan of walkera.
I have flown the mcx and the Kyosho 120

Sorry to say they are the best.

MCX is so easy, it is great fun, can fly in a small space with plenty of control. but it is just a toy but the best toy heli on the market IMHO.
The Caliber 120 is a seriuos helicopter. real challenging and real rewarding the best real micro heli on the market IMHO
