It runs GREAT very strong and started instantly. I am useing 25% norvel and 4 washers. I use my axe handle to hold it down when I break in a new motor but this time the heli wanted to lift the handle enough to slide off the end but I stopped it in time and had to hold it with my hands for the rest of the break in "sorry neighbors" I am so excited will probably not sleep tonight ,, I am going to LHS tomm . to look at car engine stuff for my o.s. .12 but so far from what I have seen with my v-7 I may not have to convert but hey ya never know right ??? LOL Well I will let ya'll know if it dies again. Paul at litemachines told me that they found the piston was hitting the crank at high RPMs and there for failing. So he said they have remachend the motor themselves. We will see......... Alan

I hope this engine is "the one" Alan. It's so frustrating when new engines fail like the V-7 has been doing - and I really hope that Lite have solved their problem too. It's amazing to hear that they are now re-machining the engines themselves

My fingers will remain crossed until you've had a dozen flights though

Remachined them themselves? Thats great! My #5 engine should be here today and now this sounds promising.

Paul Whitten has told me that they feel real confident that the problem is now fixed. Ya know, as an auto tech., if I have a problem with a product from a vendor that doesn't get corrected fast. I change vendors. If lite had done this early on then all would be fine right ?? Just a thought ,Alan

Well I put about 8 tanks through this new vmax today and flew about 5 of those. Wow. Flys Great. So far so good. Hopefully this problem is now solved, the way this engine performed today makes me think it just might be.

Hope the problem really has been solved cherikeered.

Bad luck on the weather Alan! Same story over here this weekend too! This morning (Mon) looked really bad too with lots of dark clouds, "drizzly" rain and plenty of wind. Then (after calling-off the flying session), wouldn't you know it - it was a lovely afternoon with sunshine and no wind at all!

England eh! We get all four seasons in one day - sometimes we get them all in one hour!

Crumbs, the world's productivity just took a dive, and I know why . . . . too many people trying to do their job while keeping their fingers crossed for the sake of their new V-7 engines

Tony I have it 2.75 turns out with 4 washers. It seems 2.5 out is right at the perfect sound so I backed it out a little more. I think I am going to go with an electtonic gyro next the power keeps me busy with the tail rotor.. Alan

Fiat, you can try to increase the pitch in the Arlton gyro paddles. I did and my tail is pretty stable. Increase it about two degrees, that should do the trick. let me know how it goes.
