Default corona setup question

been building my corona all day. I got to the swashplate and it seems that the hex head screws that hold on all three of the universal balls to the swash outer race will not tighten in all the way. its lined up as stated in the directions. is this the way things are supposed to be. the outer race of the swash can't turn full circle as the balls and hex heads cant pass the outer link fittings.
hope this wasn't too confusing.

are you using the correct size screws.

yes they are what the directions ask for. they're the smallest size that was included 3/8"

The swashplate must be able to rotate freely..... Make sure you have the outer race and the race ring lined up correctly. You may need to check by inserting a thin piece of wire into the holes for the universal ball in the outer race. Check the small diagram on page 10-2 and make sure you have the holes in the outer race lined up with the holes in the inner race
