How slow can you go?
While goofing around with my LMH 116+ this weekend I was letting the blades slow WAY down. It was slow enough I could start to see the individual blade tips. About that point I would loose almost all control. What really surprised me was how long I would have control, I would cut the motor at about 100feet and make it almost all the way to the ground. Kind of wonder exactly how slow one could go and still recover. Anybody else tried stupid heli tricks like this?

RE: How slow can you go?
Hi Kristopher, Keep slowing the blades down as much as you can and let us know how slow you can go. I'm really intrigued by your idea because the slower you can go the more economical your heli will be to run. It's got to be a great way to save fuel and fly for longer on a tank of fuel. In fact, taking this concept to it's limits: If you can keep the heli in the air with the blades stationary you're on to a real winner! My money's on you - I know you can do it

Sorry I can't help trying, I have flown only sailplanes for about the past 10 years. I think I could thermal it in the right conditions
