Having problems with the your rotor-head bolt holding tight to the main shaft?
You may want to try the fix I came up with.
I made a channel from some aluminum flat stock. The channel is sized to fit around the rotor-head and the bolt goes through the channel and the rotor head .
I used 1/4” .064 aluminum flat stock but any thickness around this size will work.
Parts list:
1/4” wide ( any length more then 2”) - ~.064 aluminum flat stock (try your LHS)
3/8” square stock (My local Ace hw sells in 1 foot lengths)
1 #6-32 Hex head screw ¾” long
1 Locking nut (the one from LMH is fine)
Directions:
1: from the 1/4” aluminum flat stock, cut a piece 1 5/16 inch long.
2: use the 3/8” square sock to form the channel. To do these position the square stock in the center of the aluminum strip that you cut and clap in a vice.
3. Bend the aluminum strip in to a channel (use a hammer and make the channel fit tight to the square stock.
4. Position the channel on the rotor hub (with the closed end away from the bolt hole), mark the location of the bolt on the channel.
5. Locate the center of the channel along the marked bolt hole and drill the hole (through both sides of the channel. (Drill to fit 6-32 bolt)
6. Use a 6-32 ¾ socket head bolt to attach channel and rotor hub to main rotor shaft.
