Zeek:
From the standpoint of the drastic difference between the performance of a dual conversion and single conversion rcvr, I always use dual conversion. Did you happen to notice that the feather has a MAXimum 1000 ft. range, where the 555 is a mile or so ?? If you can afford the difference, send the feather back, have them ship you a 555 ( or other dual conversion receiver ), and pay the differnce ... you will never regret it.

I really don't want to pay an extra $30 right now, and i'm a little bit mad, having to send the receiver and pay shipping cost when i bought a brand new receiver and doesn't work.
Yes i totally agree that dual converios is much better, and i'm looking forward to buy a hitec electron 6, just waiting for tower H to have a flight pack in stock.
This is what they are going to send me instead of another feather
Hitec HFS-04MG 4-Channel FM Receiver
What do you think of this receiver?
Type 4 Channel Single Conversion FM
Range 1 Mile +
Operating Voltage 3.6 - 6.0 volts DC
Current Drain 9 mAh +/- 10%
Thank you Russ

Hi Zeek:
Well, the 04MG is an improvement over the Feather, so I guess you can't complain much about that if they're going to send it at no extra charge, except postage ( they'l always get ya on the postage ). LOL
