hacker c40 12 t
I replaced my Astro 803 with a Hacker C40 12t. What a huge difference. The hacker does not get hot at all, even after 8 minutes of just hovering.
The Hacker has a lot more power. Also I am using the CC45, but, now I disabled the BEC and put in a rec. battery. The CC now runs much cooler.
The additional weight is not a problem since I am using a 3s1P Lipo pack (4000 mah). I get about 20 minutes of hover time with this configuration.
The belt on TR broke and I replaced it with one from SDPI about $3.75 versus ~14.00 from bt. It is a perfect fit and runs the same.
Has anyone tried the A123 cells yet?

Notasme;
I have read your posts on modifications to the corona with the glow engine(cv 12 mounted on lmh 117)
Do you still run it or did you decide to go with the electric motor?
The reason I am asking is that I have electric 120 corona with the astro 020 and a 117 kit that I bought with the used norvel engine and thinking of putting a car engine in the 117. Thanks and Happy flying!!!
