Default something is slipping

I have a weird problem. From time to time 2~4 times a flight i hear the sound of increased motor rpm and the heli looses height and i have to give full throtlle to keep it up.
I geus something is slipping but i dont have a clue.

Its not the main gear, and its not the pinion. but it have to be something on the main gear because the tail holts fine when it occurs.

its a corona 120

Regards
TM

Default RE: something is slipping

If the tail is holding than it is unlikely that it is the tail gear. Futhermore, if it was the tail gear the heli would NOT loose height. The tail would just start spinning.

I remember a couple times when trying to remove that main gear that I had trouble getting it off the shaft even with the setscrews loose. It seemed strong enough to drive the rotor but would definatley slip at times.
