Pictures of new body (Crowd Pleazer 2.0)
This was a really quick paint job, I had to get something on the body as the stock body went to you know what...

Looks good. I've also trashed my stock body and can't decide on a replacement. I've nearly finished the mold to try my hand at vac. molding my own "traditional" style truck shells. Can't decide how thick to go before the body mounts rip off ! How about a profile shot of your truck? How thick is the shell?

Here is a profile, not a good picture though...
The body is a [link=http://www.pro-lineracing.com/proline.html]Pro-Line Crowd Pleazer 2.0[/link] , the body is .060 lexan, VERY think stuff. I had one on my Savage and they really take a beating.

.060 sounds good, is that advertised thickness or did you measure it? I was surprised to find the LST body varied from .016-.025. The plastic doesn't stretch evenly, depends on contours it has to follow. My measurements include paint, any ideas what the stock body claims for thickness? The spec is probably what they start with before the pull.
Your truck is sharp, bummer they don't stay that way long

Pro-line advertises the thickness of this body to be .060 - not sure what the stock body is but it is much thinner. This body doesn't seem to be very uniform in thiness either (I could tell by the different resistence when cuting it, I didn't measure it), althought it is thicker than the stock body everywhere!!
I'm impressed that you can mold your own bodies! What type of equipment does it take to do that?

I have access to a small vacuum forming machine that can handle 36" square raw material. Basically a frame and rack system, slide the rack under electric heating elements. Pull out and pull down over a male plug while pulling a vacuum blast from under the mold. The key is the mold, this is what takes the time to make.

You got skilzz, I have the same body that I attempted to fade in some blue with a white and ah... well I won't feel so bad when I get it all covered up with dirt.
The stock bodies suffer from a common disease known as 'NoAssAtAll' from the wheelies.

i love those lids, but the factory cover looks the best imho. just cause that's what's advertized and what you see the most. i'd love to get a new lid, but it's tough until you see your own!
nice body!! (the truck) :-)

my fugly yellow and green body is holding up well.Need to throw some reinforcement on the rear post holes as they're starting to fatigue a little

that shell is soooo nice!
I have seen quite a few fancy shells on the LST and I admit most were nice but you just wanted a quick shell and kept it simple but not too simple the yellow glows like something magical [:-][:-][:-] (that may be down to the lighting though but either way who cares?) Also your camera is great the picture quality is amazing and so is the paint job [X(]

This is my trademark racing scheme and colors. You may not be able to tell but it reads LST in yellow. I'm in a hotel so I don't even have my truck or LOSI decals with me that's why it so plain. All I had was a roll of tape, the cans of paint and body which I bought from a local hobby shop.

Thanks for the kind words... As for the pictures I use a Nikon Coolpix 5400 with an SB-600 speadlight flash, I'm very happy with it.
The reason I purchased the Crowd Pleazer body was more for its durability than it's looks, although I do like the low profile look of it.
This is the body that I have on my Savage, it has been through quite a bit since this picture and has held up very well, the reason for the CP2 on the LST....

No problem. I sponser my own truck, for tax purposes. The name of the company is DNA Consulting. That is a strand of DNA down the side.!!

After looking at all of these nice trucks I don't understand why you are putting stickers on it other than the headlights and front grill. Don't ruin a nice paint job with all of those stickers. Leave it alone.
