Default Wholesale price for the LST?

I just found out today that hobby shops pay $479.99 for the LST. That's a pretty good markup.

Everything you buy has a mark up. It's called staying in business. You should see the mark up on jewelry!

i have often wondered how hobby shops even stay open. they make a little over 100 bucks on a truck, there mark up on parts is probebly like 50%. some of these places employ a few people full time. not a buisness i would risk my capital on.

why are you so outraged about the mark up on Losi Products. You claim to wotk in a LHS, if you do and havent dreamed that up like most of your other posts then that mark up is your wages!!

That margin is very tight, I work in Aerospace and we are talking serious margins. Its called economics!!

That doesn't sound like much if you figure in all the overhead from running a business. Rent, Inventory, Insurance....

Losi is one of the few companies that take care of the local hobby shops. Their margins are better than most other products.

If you have a few $100G's to invest in your own Hobby Shop than you too can get it for that price too. My LHS took $50 off for me without even asking, I believe LOSI has a policy that no one can advertise it for less than the $599.99.

well I think we all know and I agree the mods are a little heavy handed at times IMHO.I moderate a Jeep BB and give far more freedom than I see here as far as relatively good natured ribbing goes. That being said the rules here may be different than where I moderate so perhaps they state that there will be no personal references.Seems a little thin skinned to me but I'm old and toughened by the years so what bothers someone else may seem trivial to me.My .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000002 worth

I think that is true, but I've seen many places advertising it for less than that.

Losi is one of the FEW companies that protects it's market and their dealers from the HOs of the industry. So the LHS makes a few bucks. Now wouldnt it suck if you couldnt go around the corner to pick up what you needed and had to do all your shopping on the internet ? Each line item adds a shipping charge. Support your local LHS. Tomorrow they might not be there. And at 599.00 you are still getting great value. DW says its a big fast tough truck - whats not to like ? Great truck, great radio.
