Default Hot racing or New era aluminum A-arms

I was wondering witch lower a-arms are better hot racing or new era a-arms? The new era a-arms are cnc'd from bar stock and the hot racing are milled from ?. The design on them are different and I was also wondering if new era or hot racing were stronger?[sm=confused.gif]

How much do the new era arms weight? Are they much heavier than stock? I heard of someone breaking a hot racing upper arm at the adjuster.

Looks like I need a set of these well, 2 sets actually, I was doing some jumping yesterday and landed it wrong, snapping the upper A, lower A and the turnbuckle...the entire wheel, hub etc FLEW off the truck. I also snapped an upper on the rear while jumping and landing wrong. I know it's not the A arms' fauly, I just need to learn how to land better

The stockers are cheap enough, and easy enough to replace, I just don't like the downtime, especially when there is an audience.

How do they compare pricewise and weight wise?

Besides everytime you break a lower a-arm you probably bend the shock shaft as well. I know I do everytime.

Pete you have to think what else would of broke instead of the cheap plastic arms if you had alloy ones? if you crash or land a large jump badly then something will give. Just get yourself a set for your spares box....

All it takes is one bad landing and they break. As many spares I've used up I could have gotten aluminum ones by now.

That was me and they just emailed me telling me they're in stock.Snapped at the threads during a cartwheel down a hill. Not the worst cartwheel I ever did but I'm ordering at least 2 so I have one spare left.I kept the two fronts on to play with camber and to date they're still intact so maybe it was a freak thing (yeah right.I just need to learn to keep the truck upright)
