Default bead lock rings

Has anyone installed team losi beadlock rings on their LST? if so do you have any
tips. Also has anyone seen the full roll cages for the LST. not single hoop style,
the ones that run the full length of the vehicle?

No, the rings only work with the fake bead lock wheels.

I can just got them at the LHS and they are factory losi parts so I believe they
are just for LST rims. I need to get the truck out, the bead locks are
anodized gold and look cool but the way they need to be mounted looks
tricky. and I do not remember the rim edge having screw holes they might
have to be drilled?

I think the rings only fit on the new style wheels Losi came out with, I could be wrong but thats what it looks like to me.

Whats with the fake Bead Locks?? I was under the impression that they were actually functional until today when i read otherwise! I was all excited about them... too bad.. BOO! They do look cool tho. Does anyone make REAL bead lock wheels for RC monsters? It would be sweet to just switch tires without messy glue beads.. and keep the same wheels.

If you are considering REAL beadlocks ... the commandos just came out from Proline and can be viewed here.

The Proline beadlock wheels look bad*****!.Not to fond of gold though.Too "BLING" for my taste.Blue or silver would be cool. Those aluminum wheels are nice too. Both are kinda pricey.I already got my set of Weld 40's & MOABs.Does anyone know the dimensions of the Losi Zombie Max tires? Are they at least the same size as the LST Claws?.Very aggressive tread design.

Actually, if you are familiar with Weld's racing they contain gold anodized components. Their sprint car and midget wheels have gold anodized centers, and theior drag cars have gold beadlocks.

The Beadlock rims will fit only the Fake Beadlock wheels by Losi. Each wheel has 10 predrilled holes around the rim. The tiny screws go in real easy and it doesn't take too long to install 40 screws around the 4 rims. They really look trick, to bad they are not functional. DBM

Every bead-lock I have seen to date does not hold up to racing. Every one I have seen allows part of the bead to come out eventually. The guys that have them end up loosening them up and re-seating the beads regularly.
